Who was DB Cooper?

A few years ago, a man named Lyle Christiansen contacted Sherlock Investigations, a New York-based private investigation firm, saying only that he had information on "a famous crime." In the years since his brother Kenny died, Lyle had come to believe that his sibling was the notorious skyjacker D.B. Cooper.
Kenneth P. Christiansen was born in 1926 and grew up on a farm near Morris, Minnesota. After graduating from high school, he joined up with the army and served as a paratrooper in World War II. Later he would work in aircraft maintenance and other odd jobs, ultimately finding employment with Northwest Airlines as a steward.
Kenny was always broke in those days - work was sporadic and he was often forced to collect unemployment - but his fortunes seemed to take a dramatic turn after November 24, 1971. Suddenly he was able acquire property, make large cash loans, and shower his friends with generosity. And although he continued to work part time for the airline, he never collected unemployment again.
In Into the Blast, authors Skipp Porteous and Robert Blevins make a compelling case that Kenny Christiansen was the skyjacker known as D.B. Cooper.
